Batak dam is the 6^th largest dam in Bulgaria, situated in the Western Rhodopes, in the area of Pazardjik. The lake is 4 km away from the town of Batak, 7km away from Rakitovo and 12 km from Velingrad.

The climate here up to 1000 m above sea level. is characterized as a transitional continental, and in the mountainous and alpine climate the climate is mountainous. There is snow from 2 to 5 months of the year.

Batak Dam is a great destinations for fishing lovers. It is also close to peak Golqma Siutka (2186 m), which gives an opportunity for mountain hikes. In addition, you can practice water sports such as riding a water bike, boat or jets.
